Q. What is Put-in-Bay like?

Q. What is the Island Club at Put-in-Bay like?

A. The Island Club is located approximately 1 mile from downtown off Put-in-Bay Road. It is a group of 70+ houses that consist of three bedrooms / two bathrooms and are located in a friendly atmosphere and with beautiful landscaping. Taxis drive through the Island Club frequently to pick up visitors and transport them to their destination.

Q. What should I bring when staying at one of your homes at the Island Club?

A. You need to bring your own bed linens and towels. You may have up to two cars in the driveway of each home. Our homes offer all the comforts of home. We have full size kitchen appliances, kitchen utensils, dishes, a gas grill, stereo, VCR, AC/Heat, pillows, blankets.

Q. How do I get to Put-in-Bay, South Bass Island, Ohio?

A. Most often the method of transportation to Put-in-Bay is by using the Miller’s Ferry. The ferry allows cars to be transported to the island. Please visit www.millerferry.com

Q. Are pets allowed?

A. Unfortunately, no pets are allowed on the premises.

Q. What is the reservation policy?

A. There is a $250.00 deposit required to make a reservation. All reservations are to be paid in full 30 days in advance of arrival. All reservations will be considered cancelled if not paid 30 days in advance. This reservation is final and non refundable. If you should cancel your reservation, you will forfeit your rental date and all monies paid including the deposit

Q. Once I get off the Miller’s Ferry, how do I get to the house?

A. From the Miller Ferry Boat dock, turn right on Langram Road. Make a left on Put-In-Bay Road, which will be the first street on your left. Put-In-Bay Road will wind through the woods, making a few sharp turns. The road will then go straight for about 2000 feet. The entrance to the Island Club in on the right. Turn right into the Island Club. Starboard Trail is the first street to the right. Turn right on Starboard Trail.

Q. What is the security deposit policy?

A. The security deposit is required in addition to the rental amount. It will be returned by mail after the renters vacate the cottage and the management has had the opportunity to check the house. A full deposit will be returned if the house is left in the same condition, as it was when you arrived with nothing damaged or missing from the house or the property. Damage such as items broken, stains to the walls, carpeting or furniture will be assessed by the owner and will be charged against renters’ deposit/credit card. Items missing or broken will be charged to the renter at retail price. If a trip to the mainland is required, the renter will be charged for the ferry price and the time. If the house requires more than a light cleaning, the renter will be charged for the extra cleaning. If the amount charged for damages exceeds the deposit amount, the renter will be held responsible for the difference and can be charged to your credit card.

Q. What is the check-out/departure policy?

A. All renters must vacate the house by 11:00 a.m. Lock all doors and windows, take all trash to the blue BFI containers located outside the side door, put all keys back into the lockbox, clean all messes, turn the air conditioning/heat off, and leave the house in a neat and orderly condition.

Q.  What was the Put-in-Bay "mystery" illness that we heard about last summer? Will it be rectified by the tourist season in 2005?

Q. What is the arrival policy?

A. When arriving, you will find the keys in a lockbox beside the side door. The renter(s) will be contacted with instructions for getting into the lockbox before you are to arrive

Q. Is smoking allowed in the homes?

A. No, smoking is not allowed at any times inside the homes rented by www.putinbayislandclub.com . If there is evidence of smoking inside the homes, the renters will lose their deposit.
